Above: A very creative YouTube video thumbnail, YouTube supports up to 1920X1080 thumbnail sizes, though 1280X720 is the optimal. Its important to create a striking, eye catching design that best describes your video, and prompts viewers to click and watch it. Misleading or unrelated thumbnails are widely used to draw attention but frowned upon and could get your video removed if it receives enough complaints from audience members.
The thumbnail is used across YouTube and the web, in various sizes (predominantly small) so ensure any text used is fairly large and legible.
You can read YouTube’s thumbnail guide here.
Above: EPIC/DERMIS™ UI/UX and software design. This software is currently in production and can be used to create and edit 2D/3D sprite sheets (like Minecraft for example) by painting directly onto 3D models (poly painting).
EPIC/DERMIS™ is the most easy to use yet powerful software available for 2D/3D pixel painting.
The software features a super simple organic painting experience. (because we are sick of mathematical non-creative approaches to design, that are completely divorced from designers and the design process). This software will be available on both iOS and Windows PC platforms.
The design: The design features a minimal Swiss/metro style UI, with simple to navigate menus and an expertly design, intuitive user friendly UX that is both easy and fun to use.
Stringent planning went into the layout and tool set to ensure the best design experience available, our core focus is fluid organic usability.
Release date: TBA
